GVINAGE asks you for very little information, and only what is needed to send you cheese. We do not sell information, do not trade in it, and do not pass it on to anyone other than those actually involved in delivering your order.
This policy was written in accordance with the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, including Amendment 13, which came into force in August 2025, and the Protection of Privacy Regulations (Data Security), 5777-2017.
What information we collect
Information you give us
- When you place an order: full name, delivery address, phone, email address, and the order details themselves. Any delivery notes you add.
- When you sign up for a workshop: name, phone, email and number of participants.
- When you contact us by email or through the contact form: whatever details you choose to write.
- When you write a product review: name, email address and the IP address it was sent from. Reviews are published only after we approve them.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser type and time of visit — recorded in the server logs for security and operational purposes. Under Amendment 13 an IP address is considered personal information, so we state this explicitly.
- The site does not use analytics tools, advertising pixels or third-party behavioral tracking tools.
What we do not collect
Your credit card details never reach us and are not stored on the site’s servers. They are passed directly to the payment provider, in a secure, encrypted environment.
Cookies
The site uses essential cookies only — the ones without which the site simply would not work:
- Shopping cart — so the products you chose stay in your cart from page to page.
- Session and login — to recognize a logged-in user.
- Cache and security — so the site loads quickly and stays protected.
- Your accessibility preferences — stored in your own browser only and never sent to us.
Essential cookies do not require consent. Because we do not use advertising or analytics cookies, the site has no cookie consent banner. If we ever add such a tool, we will ask for your consent in advance and explicitly, and you will be able to refuse as easily as you can agree.
How we use the information
- To process your order, pack it and send it to you.
- To contact you about your order, the delivery date or a workshop.
- To issue an invoice and meet our legal reporting obligations.
- To handle enquiries, complaints and cancellation requests.
- To secure the site and prevent misuse.
We will not send you marketing emails unless you have explicitly asked for them. If you have joined a mailing list, every message will include an unsubscribe link, and you will be removed immediately — in accordance with section 30A of the Israeli Communications (Telecommunications and Broadcasting) Law.
Who else sees the information
Only those who need it in order to provide you with the service:
- The payment provider — only to charge your card.
- The delivery service — receives only your name, address and phone, for delivery.
- The website hosting provider — the information is stored on the site’s servers.
- Authorities — only where we are legally required to provide information.
Where information is stored or processed outside Israel by infrastructure providers, this is done in accordance with the Israeli rules on transferring data abroad. We never sell, rent or trade personal information, under any circumstances.
How long we keep it
- Order and invoice data — kept for 7 years, as required by tax law.
- Enquiries and correspondence — up to two years after they are resolved.
- Server logs — up to 12 months.
- Mailing list — until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
- Right of access (section 13 of the Law) — to ask to see what information we hold about you.
- Right to correction (section 14 of the Law) — to ask us to correct information that is wrong, out of date or incomplete.
- Deletion — to ask us to delete information we are not legally required to keep.
- Unsubscribing — at any moment, as easily as you signed up.
- Withdrawing consent — at any time, for any use based on your consent.
To exercise any of these rights: info@gvinage.co.il. We will reply within 30 days at the latest, as the regulations require. If we do not reply in time, you may apply to the Magistrates’ Court.
How we protect the information
- All traffic on the site is encrypted with HTTPS.
- Access to the admin area is limited to a small number of accounts, with strong passwords.
- Credit card details are never stored by us.
- The site and order data are backed up regularly.
- The site’s system and its components are updated regularly.
If a serious security incident occurs, we will report it immediately to the Privacy Protection Authority as the Data Security Regulations require, and will notify those affected as the Authority directs.
Minors
The site is not intended for children. A purchase by anyone under 18 requires the approval of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information about minors under 18 without parental consent.
